The Heart of the Matter

The center of our beliefs - and our message - is the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Here's the jist:

God created all things, and He created humans in His likeness in order to be in a relationship with Him characterized by love and joy and purity. 

But the first humans sinned, and since they had been given leadership over creation, their sin had a catastrophic effect on the world.  Now people are separated from God, corrupt in our hearts and given over to all kinds of evil.

Wait!  There's hope!  God sent His Son to become human in the person of Jesus Christ - fully God and fully man.  Jesus gave His life for us, dying on the cross to pay the penalty for all our sin and evil.  Then He rose from the dead to bring us life, and He lives forevermore.

​If you place your trust in Jesus, all your sins will be forgiven, your broken relationship with God restored, and you will be given the promise of eternal life in the world to come - where there will be no more evil, suffering, or death.

​Now THAT is good news!
